Contests?

Okay I've been handed down a suggestion thru the Queen Bee for a contest "Story of the Week". Now I'm down for this idea but I want some input from you, the members, as to how this should go since it's gonna be ya'll competing.

I need to know:

• judging ==> public vote or mod vote--we could do this democratically, meaning you guys nominate your choices and then once the nominees are chosen, have you vote thru a poll, or instead have the mods pick out of the nominees
  
• criteria ==> what should be judged--if you guys decide that instead this whole thing should left up to me, then what am I looking for? Am I judging by story plot, imagination, word play...see I could go on all day with that. Help me.
  
• judgment ==> when should the winner be announced--I already think that voting should be closed on Saturday night and then the winner announced that following Sunday morning but I know some of our members are in other countries and that may create some conflict.
  
• prizes ==> what should be the reward-- I mean other than the title of writer of the week, what should be awarded? I'm drawing a blank here.
  

There are other things also but right now these are the most important. Now remember all fanfic fans are called to help with this. Of course the contest won't begin till after Maintence but still you can start working on that idea you've been tossin around in your head. You neva know if that'll be a winner.
